hi hoop, i think you should bring up the backing vox a bit and bring me down a bit in the mix, i think i prefer the version with mad effects on my voice but only coz it hides a lot of my faults on this version there is nothing to hide my weak vocal style behind lol. saying that, its the fragility in neil youngs voice that makes me love him so much in the first place..

great track hooper! i have 1 question.. do you use the inbuilt mic for your vocals? if so what effects do you use? im having trouble getting a good recording of my voice.. its often to quiet even on +8 db.. and i find im having to lower the levels of everything else.

I believe that both the vocals that Jim (OldRottenHead) and I did on both versions of this song were done using the On-board mic and the ForNylon preset.  From there I also like to EDT (edit) that preset and turn ON the ENH (enhancer)

Then you do need to work the mike pretty close... 6-8 inches.

Awesome piece of work Hoop. I really should start writing stuff down as I bounce. Many times I have wound up searching through a MBR full of V tracks wondering where the hell I put that acoustic picked part! See ORH got in on the act again ... another great take on the vox there mate!

Totally agree! 'Harvest' is one of favourite albums (and my favourite when I'm listening to it...!).

You have that same quality of vulnerable honesty - and it's a damn good thing!

Great work guys. And some superb guitar from Hooper. Just lovely.

Hi guys. I love the stuff you are doing here. This is my first visit and it's just brilliant listening to what you have done.

I have a spreadsheet that I made for keeping track of where I was. Here is a copy. Modify and repost if you want.
