The first thanks goes to Mike, without his dedication and tutelage, I can't picture myself playing anything remotely close to the blues. I'd still be trying to figure out how to play rhythm to some played out easy songs.

Secondly I'd like to thank those who were kind enough to give a listen and comment. I know it is sometimes difficult to run through the postings and comment on peoples work. I personally have nothing to say besides "cool, sounds great, etc" I'm a beginner, so one day I'll have some worthy input on the fantastic posts on this site.

Tafka, you hit the nail on the head, without Mike, none of this is possible, at least for me anyway. Picking a winner is easy.  Remote Jedi Master Mike is the winner. The time and dedication he is contributing must be staggering. I learned my first blues scale less than a month ago. between then and now, there have been 150 emails and fantastic words of encouragement. The amount of respect I have developed for Mike is astounding.

Hey Tony, this is great, well done and you should have had no fears about posting. Two things for me stood out on this - first, the tone and sound, and second your slides and sustain. You've got a great sound out of the guitar and that's a big plus. It really sounds good and gives a smooth feel to this backer. You've chosen the right sound for the mood you want to create, and that's important.

I also like your slides and the way you bend and sustain the notes. OK, you may not have any "flashy" moves yet but it's very early days. But you have a really good feel and the way you slide smoothly between a lot of the notes creates just the right feeling here. And you have some great bends and sustain the notes well, which really fits this backer. Your timing is pretty spot on as well.

Great job for someone who's starting out on this trip, a very impressive start. Please keep posting more with the other 48 All Stars so we can hear how you are progressing. And with Mike's help, we know you will continue to improve.

Cheers,

Nigel
