It depends on how much importance you place on price and portability. If it's not that important to you, then I'd say get the BR-600. It's far more powerful and versatile than the Micro BR, with real fader controls, more effects, built-in stereo mics, velocity-sensitive drum pads, and programmable drum patterns. A much better recorder than the Micro BR, in my opinion.

However, we have many members here who love their Micro BR. It's less expensive than the BR-600 and very portable. The BR-600 is portable too, but you can't put it in your shirt pocket or hold it in your hand like a microphone while recording your vocals. If those things are important to you, then the Micro BR is a great choice.

One limitation of both the Micro BR and the BR-600 is the memory card capacity. They can only address up to 1GB of storage. That's enough for a few songs. The trouble is, 1GB memory cards are becoming very hard to find, and larger cards are often cheaper. So, if it's within your budget, I'd recommend the new BR-800 instead. It can handle memory cards up to 32GB. So you should have no trouble finding memory cards for quite a few years to come. And it has many other great features too. It's quite a bit more money than the Micro BR and BR-600, but it's worth it.

Welcome from Norway too Leonardo !!!

Look forward to hearing your music as soon as you get your new BR600 :) I guess I would have recomended the MicroBR, but now that I've had the 800 for some weeks, I do see the advantages of more tracks and more flexible drum-arrangement options. I'm sure you'll have much fun with your new BR600 and if you stick around here, you'll have a lot of fun and make good friends !!

PS. Thanks for the kind words on "A song for my friends" !!
