BeatlesFest - 'This Never Happened Before'

They say the world has had enough of silly love songs....  

But I think that this is one of McCartney's best and under-recognized post-Beatles compositions in spite of the fact that it was featured at the end of the movie 'The Lake House'.  

This cover was cobbled together in about a half-dozen sessions over the past three days.

I really liked this hoop , i have to admit to not listening to all of Macca's albums , just the main ones , and i've seen wings 4 times , i dont remember this one , but your version is so nice , i wont listen to the original untill i've given yours at least 6 listens , then i'll compare  , PS , i agree falling in love is the best feeling ever

I must admit ..... I have listened to most of Maccas albums .... and have quite a few of them This one is one of my two favorites from 'Chaos and creation in the backyard', the other beeing Jenny Wren ( ahhh if Rob could do a cover ot that one !!?!?! ) ... yeah I might be a bit fanatic when it comes to the Beatles, I've even seen that backyard


anyway .... Hooper ... you're the man, fantastic production, impeccable playing and great vocals !!! .....

Beautifully done, hooper - a real stunner. 

I'm not as familiar with Macca's solo and Wings output compared to his Beatles songs, and so I hadn't heard this one before today. And I'm not sure Paulie's version will be quite this good.

Absolute perfection in multi-instrument playing, vocals, mixing, & mastering.  How do you record bass and drums?  They sound especially great.
