I took some lessons a couple of years ago, and my teacher wanted me to practice singing along with certain strumming patterns.  I was kind of insulted, but when I tried to prove that I was way beyond that, I couldn't do it.

He had me playing and singing Zip-a-dee-doo-dah five different ways, and it kicked my butt.

I read you there. And I'm yet to find a cover that I can strum to other than Pigs on the Wing and John Denver's Country Road or whatever it's called (And I don't like that song very much. A friend wanted me to learn it.).

I don't get how people can strum the way they do....

One of your best Mark, in my opinion. Really nice chord sequences and a great tone on the guitar. Then there is your vocal which is outstanding and just adds to the whole melodic feel of the song. Raw and unplugged and top notch!!
