Inspired by Stephens words:"Things you should never do. Things you should never try" i revisited this and gave it a one good college try. It's a bit sparse arrangement wise, but as i was having great pains with the vocals i didn't feel like doing too much for it...

I know i've been posting too much lately, but soon i'll be calming down :D

I don't know this song and had to google it..Bobby Womack. I think it sounds great..you said the arrangement was sparse but it really doesn't need any more. Great listen ! !

Thanks Stephen for making the big jump.
And thanks Zoltan for sharing this song.
I have not heard this song before, but I am so glad that I heard it from you!
Loving this Zoltan!!!

Quite a nice performance, I would say your voice has "gravitas".  You actually remind me of Geir on this, and that's a top compliment!

It's a song I know well and really like. Your version has a very different vibe but arrives at the same destination in good shape.

Love those drums.

As 2 Unlimited said, there's no limit.

I tried adding acoustic guitars + some "ghetto moves". Not sure if it's an improvement.

Edit: Singing this song is a real struggle! The phrasing / timing isn't straight at all...

Edit 2: Does it sound like i'm opening this with a line " I was the TURD brother of five"? If it does... Isn't that a bit harsh? Being a little turd would be bad enough, but a whole family of turds would be taking it a bit too far...

If.... If.... If.... I could ever do something this good..

I might consider quitting for good...because really how?  How?  How? can you ever do something better than this?
you can't...

the way you created space is so inviting...and so almost impossible to do...

crazy minds like mine cannot attain such greatness.   I now bow... wonderful...wonderful...wonderful

just the ride cymbal alone is worth getting lost in... and that hat...

wicked drum  track...

reminds me of some of the great drums on songs like "Breakdown", "Hold the Line", "Lowdown".... you know?  the best... still

I am just now starting to hear the lyrics... Bobby got to something amazing, sad, and full of warning here right?

...but not at all! you must continue

I really liked this song that I didn't know before, your voice is absolutely wonderful
I really like the simplicity of the chords played on the piano
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.
