Wow!

I was not expecting this.
I heard 110th street for the first time with the Jackie Brown soundtrack (Tarantino). That soundtrack was on repeat in the early 2000s when me and another colleague were struggling to meet a project deadline, and working through the night listening to that soundtrack. I think I know every inflection Womack does in the song.

I was curious how you would handle because he is an amazing singer (with an amazing band). This is definitely not the song you cover easily.

What you did was really cool - unashamed drum machine, simple arrangement and yes, quite different but top notch vocals. I think I like the second arrangement better - that "sliced" breaks and the bass add to the distinctive approach you brought the song.

Well I can only add to all the positive feedback and don't think of calming down anytime soon!

It's a classic tune, I first heard it too on in the Jackie Brown movie and remember thinking.... wow what a tune! That's a great interpretation, totally different but very compelling.
