trying to mimic BTO and a sort of "Flat Broke Love" from their Four Wheel Drive LP.  While I think I somewhat succeeded in the rhythm guitar track the rest sounds nothing like BTO...oh well...I think the vocals sound like a cheap version of Paul Rodgers and at times Neil Young...sorry about that.
I did have fun doing this though...
I used just one rhythm guitar track, for me that is something I almost never do.  I recorded the tracks on the BR1600 and I used the patch P006 Rectifier Metal for the rhythm and one lead track using patch P007 Hi Gain BG, which is bloody hell of a lead sound.
Bass is Schecter Diamond Series with my Behringer bass overdrive pedal.
I mixed on my "new" laptop on bandlab... I inherited from my daughter who got a new one (that I bought her ha, ha...she is just off to college).
drums are Alesis Nitro that I play

the story of the song...fictional....a group of lumberjacks from Canada also play guitars and drums etc...so they form a band but don't get any jobs...they are quite broke...then a town hires them for a large town gig...the whole town comes out and they are so hot...toward the end of the show the whole thing catches fire and the entire town burns down....so all this was recorded and some record execs hire the band and soon they are making millions...of course they help rebuild the town...anyway....

I don't know BTO, but for sure your cheap version of neil young is something really cool. So the story it tells, so for me, super well done !

Digging on this one. This OD on the bass is awesome. Those are some good sounding patches. I can hear the Bachman Turner Overdrive influence. Randy Bachman is an underrated guitarist IMO   . nice job

Hey Stephen, There is a laid back, real coolness about this and a lot of your tracks. You seem to just get into a groove and just go for it. A real live, spontaneous feel, which is mighty difficult to pull off and do it well. You do it very well my friend. This great, you play the guitar with feeling. Really enjoyed this.

I only know one song by BTO so hard for me to draw a comparison there. The song itself is great - you always have an awesome guitar tone and some great lead playing. Great vocal too !

Like Pete, I only know one BTO song so can't really compare it to the original, but this is an awesome rocker. The lead guitar in particular is wonderful, love the sound (there are some great presets in the Boss effects) and the playing is fantastic. This really rocks, great punchy rhythm sound and the whole mix kicks some big time a**! Nice work!!

Cool song and playing! From the beginning to the end. I like the way you're building the song. The guitar playing, the drumming. There's such a great vibe to it all. And i like the lyrical hooks. Your way of repeating certain parts of the lyrics / melodies is very catchy!
