Wow, thanks for the good words all - I just now found this link as after I heard Kenny Mac's version, I was so blown away by it I dumped mine. Thanks for posting this Mike and for a truly inspirational song!

With permission from the collaborators I made a bit of a collage of Mike Huntingford's collab with Ken and Kenny Mac.... I loved these pieces very much and wanted to see what would happen if I tied them together.... there are some minor changes, added length etc.... I think it's an enjoyable listen... I haven't heard this is head phones yet...but I did this on BandLab...
hope you enjoy it...

Hey Stephen, that's amazing! I'm still trying to figure out how you did it without the individual stems? I imagine you overlapped the two versions but to keep the backing gain constant and have the leads and vocals fade in and out leaves me with lots of questions.

Really like how you captured the best of both worlds so to speak with this edit. The only problem area I could even find is a little fumble with a splice at the 42 seconds mark. This gave me a clue as to how you accomplished the magic.  Love it!

Might even have been a good candidate for the cut up fest!  8)

Ken, I kind of liked that little overlap at the :42 that you mentioned because it changed the song just a little to give it a bit of a twist....and yes,,,, it is a bit out of synch right there...
I just loved the way your guitar made that nice intro with Kenny's oooh intros...the only really hard thing for me was weaving in and out of the guitars during KM's long solo....I wanted to make sure and flavor it with yours as well... honestly i thought that KM had used yours and put more effects on it...they are both beautiful pieces of guitar work... and Mike is a genius on those keyboard tracks...
I could easily have made this 7 minutes and still kept it interesting I think... the real applause is to you guys.... I just loved touching it a little it is so precious...
