White Lines (collab with Hilary)

Hilary did a bang up job writing lyrics and singing this....it reminds me of a cross between B52s and Jefferson Airplane... I was so excited about the music track...
anyway I asked Hilary to think about singing two distinctly different things which one became kind of the backing track... plus there is a backing vocal track...

I found a new variation of E and played it 3 different ways (one was Em).... really its a basic 3 or 4 chord progression but embellished... I used to play bass almost the same as guitar...  I don't do that all the time anymore...
and I fell right in with the drums...

also there is this killer howling coyotes part around 2:35....  this was not planned but just how it came out... although i did copy one short section of Hilary's vocals and used them one after the other..... it was just too good ....

Your B52's and Airplane comparison is absolutely spot on. This is SO psychedelic. First of all it's a great collaboration with a stellar vocal. But it really rocks - that chorus part is such a heavy freakout. Got to make a call-out for the drums and bass again - they are f*cking awesome. And your wigged-out lead playing: love it! That vocal part at the end - outstanding.

I'm quite taken aback by this one. Incredible!

Great rockin groove. Love those two vocal tracks and how they play off of each other. It's like if AC/DC were a psychedelic band from San Fran. Bravo Stephen and Hilary!
