classic ORH style, I love it.
Great song James, pretty much perfect,as stated.
Keep it for your new album!

I think this is one of your best for a while Jim. It's really come together well, the synth sounds and arrangement is excellent, and there's a nice drum groove going on there. The balance between the different sounds is spot on, and your vocals fit perfectly over the top. They are sitting right where they should be in the mix IMO and the sound great.

I think this way of recording worked really well, the combo of GarageBand and MBR is spot on.

cheers Nigel, i also mixed this a bit differently. I bought a cheap pair of monitors for £16 quid out of Sainsbury's, Logitech Z200's and mixed with them rather than my usual way of mixing with headphones.

i think i got a bargain https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/pc-speakers/1254268/?cm_mmc=UK-PLA-DS3A-_-bing-_-PLA_UK_EN_Computing_%26_Peripherals_Whoop-_-PC+Speakers_Whoop-_-PRODUCT_GROUP&matchtype=e&pla-4575205326748965&s_kwcid=AL!7457!3!!e!!o!4575205326748965!&msclkid=b7264952709c19f92324296deb08e701&gclid=b7264952709c19f92324296deb08e701&gclsrc=3p.ds

Just lovely. Refreshing to hear a song with no guitars (at least I think there are none), beautiful pulsing bass, I love how it stays largely on the same note while everything weaves around it. Beautiful vocal and a lyric that demands self-reflection... brill.

Nice tension on the synth builds up really well, could absolutely see this in a film score or tv series eg the Bay.
