Blooby just posted an excellent version of this Grateful Dead tune (https://songcrafters.org/community/index.php?topic=26310.0), and as coincidence would have it, I was working on a version myself. I was never a big Dead fan, so my first exposure to "Franklin's Tower" was via the Allman Brothers when Dickey Betts added a tease of the tune to his own similarly structured "Blue Sky" to honor Jerry Garcia after he passed away in 1995. I didn't know what it was the first time I heard it, but I dug it, it's pretty darn catchy. So, here's my take.

Instrumentation
Sovereign Acoustic Guitar | Recording King Dobro | Daddy Mojo Cigar Box Biscuit Cone | Piano | Bass

UPDATE: I submitted this to the Dead Covers Project (along with a quick animation), so if anyone feels inclined, you can give it a listen

Very nice job on this, great work on the dobro.  For not a big 'Dead' fan, you caught the essence of their music quite well, while at the same time making it your own.  And I can hear the Allmans influence too.

Good recording, excellent tones well captured and mixed.  Looking forward to more.
