Nice.

I always had a sneaking regard for The Cure, but I don't know too much about them apart from the obvious ones... (And I'm buggered if I can remember what those were at the moment ::) ... I do remember the hair, though...)

Hey, I hadn't heard this for a while, nice cover Hook. I wonder why the uke makes the song more modern. Or maybe because the synths are gone. Really enjoyed the listen anyway

Excellent cover Bro, they are still touring around the UK I believe - they are very popular with the young generation of goth's I believe. I don't this track, but enjoyed it lots.

This is Boys Don't Cry era Cure, before they really turned into the Cure proper.  I like that album a lot, very stripped and edgy.

You've done a good job of covering it, even more stripped out and no less edgy.

I've just dialled it up on my pie-pod.  Track 2, right after Boys Don't Cry.

Thanks man, that edge was important to me when I decided to learn this one. It so easily could and often did veer into dippy & plinky sounding. I felt the vocal was how I could keep that Robert Smith vibe but I can't sing like him! The progression is quite easy for guitar but I found it pretty challenging on uke, not at all sure how to get that power chord (there all 5's) on the uke.
D is proving a challenge cause I don't really know any of the session acts but I think I'm leaning toward The Damned.

So good. The uke sounds wonderful, and this is a superb (but short!) cover.
