"I Want to Be Loved" was the B side of the Stones' debut single "Come On" (a Chuck Berry cover) which was released on 7 June 1963. It's a 1955 blues song by Willie Dixon and was also performed by Muddy Waters.

I started this project on 7 July 2012 for StonesFest. Greeny sent me the vocals on July 22nd. Another Songcrafters member had agreed to do the harmonica track but, unfortunately, life got in the way and he wasn't able to do it. So the song sat on the back burner a long, long time. Then, in March, I heard Farrell's excellent '62 Blues and was impressed with his harmonica playing so I asked him if he'd be interested in doing the harmonica for "I Want to Be Loved". He agreed and this is the result.

Many thanks to Greeny for the excellent vocal and to Farrell for the wonderful harmonica track which allowed me to finally get this song mixed and posted.

Nice blues, guys! Don't remember ever hearing this before.

That's some clean playing and singing, and the harmonica really punctuates it well.

Killer collab, guys.

Purely by listening, I would say this band has been together for many years. Smooth and tight.

Well done!
