Well mini-gas attack. Bought a Behringer GT-21, which is a rip off of the Sanamp thingy. £26, so worth a punt. Used it  for all the guitars (bass and guitars). The distortion is okay - but not brill, so fronted it with the tone-bone (tube, Plexi) for distortion, and Boss Compressor for the clean sound. Bass is straight through using clean fender emulation. This is an analogue pedal, so interesting. Pretty pleased with the sounds.

Thanks guys - appreciate the comments. I probably need to explain though. This is a bit of an experiment. This device emulates amps, but is not digitally modelled but analogue. The Sansamp devices costs around £170 upwards - Behringer ripped off the circuit and built it for £26. Wanted to see if they were any good, £26 didn't seem so bad for a punt. There are no amps in this recording, just the GT-21 straight into the recorder. You can dial in different amps and mike placements, it has inbuilt distortion, but I wasn't too impressed by the distortions, so simply using it as a clean amp, and fronting with distortion boxes (just like an amp) - this is the end result. I really like the way the bass sounds, I've never managed to get a really meaty sound before.

I've ordered the AD-21, which is the equivalent acoustic pre-amp modeller (all analogue again), and the BD-21, which is the bass amp equiv. Suffering with GAS :-)

Good guitar tones Bruno and the the bass tone is so full and meaty! The combo of the bass and guitar tones reminds me a little of ZZ Top's sound. I have a SansAmp GT2 and the controls on the Beri GD21 look and are labeled almost identical to it. Nice buy for money!

Nice playing and nice sounds.  I shelled out for the Sansamp version years ago, and while I don't break it out regularly, it has a great up front sound.  I'm thinking you scored with the value of this Behringer in a big way.

Excellent playing, by the by.
