Suggestions for future festivals

i have so far really enjoyed the suggestfest festival, high point for me has been henwrench covering one of mine. which lead me to think.

peter gabriel had a project "scratch my back" where he recorded songs by various artists, but the catch was, that they in return had to record one of his songs.

so i suggest a "scratch my back fest"

good idea or what?

How about picking one or two songs a then having a choice of what genres to re-create them in. For instance if it's a pop song that's selected, you would have to re-do it in a blues, metal, country, bluegrass, rock, funk, Reggae, soul etc.....any style except the original style. Everyone would do the same song but have a choice of genres. Just a thought.

Apart from limiting it to one or two songs, that's pretty much what RecycleFest was.

How about a runoutofmoneyfest - bands that have re-united for one last album. :-)

What about a Best-of-Fest - we all pick a track that someone else has done for a previous Fest and do that.
