[Speed Demon]

An old friend of mine, and his band.

I recorded an entire rehearsal and selected four tunes to be used on a demo disk.
This is one of them.

So far, I've not been able to get them onto this site but I'll keep trying. They are quite good.

What is interesting about my friend Tony is that he lost a finger on his left hand, a result of an industrial injury. That didn't stop him from playing his guitars. You cannot tell, purely by listening, that he has such a handicap. The worst nightmare come true, for a guitarist.

I asked him if I could post some of his band's music and he was thrilled with the idea.

The first version of this song that I remember hearing was sung by Maria Muldaur. Another fine vocalist.

I instantly fell in love with the guitarist that backed her up. I never learned his name but that guy had the tastiest licks anyone can imagine. Worth locating that version and adding it to your collection.
