Reading BRO files without loading??

I now see how dumb it was not bothering to name everything carefully.
I have a bunch of Micro BR BRO files from backups that say Song 001 etc
I thought I remembered there was a PC program that reads these files to find the names?
Otherwise I guess I have to load them into the Micro BR.

I'd suggest using BR Explorer. If you named the songs within your BR, then BR Explorer will show you that name. If not, then you can click the WAV button in BR Explorer which will launch BR Wave Converter in a special way that doesn't require the backup to be in the root directory. You can then save the tracks as WAV files and listen to them to determine the names of the songs. BR Explorer also lets you edit the song names, and even create a long, descriptive title. Plus, you can enter any notes about the song, such as what's on each track, which instruments and effects you used, etc. This is all saved within the backup so it will be recalled the next time you view the song in BR Explorer or BR Song Librarian. You can also use BR Song Librarian to save each song individually in a properly-named folder.

Perfect thanks. I forgot about BRW Explorer. A great little resource, thanks again.
The librarian is great too. I'm using it with my BR800.
It's amazing how quickly one can get overwhelmed with data and how much discipline it takes to stay organized.

Unfortunately here I just have a whole bunch of BRO files on my computer and (using BR Explorer) nothing shows up but the folder with "My MBR backups Dec 08", Inside that is a BRO folder and inside that a list of folders like Song001.bro, song002.bro etc inside but the WAVE option stays gray when I click on them.
