I only decided to record this tonight, so it was thrown together rather quickly. I should have thought of it a couple of weeks ago so I'd have had time to do it properly and make it a bit more interesting. Oh well - maybe next year.

I played the vocal melody on guitar for the first verse and chorus, but omitted it on the next 5 verses and choruses to allow for vocals. If anyone's still celebrating and wants to add the vocals, please do. The lyrics are here (pick whichever version you prefer):

The MP3 was too big to attach, so download it here.

Update: Final mix with vocals by groundy, Ronniejm, Wiley, and oldrottenhead above.

Well come on, somebody has to sing over that! Maybe we could do a MBR chorus?

Yes, a chorus is what I had in mind. Maybe a few people could each do 2 or 3 vocal takes, then we could mix it all together. Sort of a New Years Eve pub sing-along (alcohol optional, but certainly not discouraged).  :)

Sounds like a plan. Maybe Jim would go first as a Scot who can sing :) and so give us all something to follow?

Thanks Satchwood. The song's pretty boring without vocals. I had hoped that a few people would contribute vocals for me since I can't sing to save my life. Unfortunately, I didn't get any takers. Oh well. Maybe someone will want to sing it this December.
