Harmonies and gender in the BR800?

Has anyone had success with these functions?
I can't even get it to sing in tune.
I'm comparing them to some of the demos of the Vocalist Live 5 and if it worked anything like that unit I'd be in heaven.

I don't know much about it, but Ronniejm used it to good effect in his cover of Eric Bogle's "No Man's Land" (aka "The Green Fields of France").
