The loss of a young nephew brings a song to hopefully help the family deal with it.
This was sent to the family after the media revisited the issue after the accident report .
33 yr old Damon was killed (with 3 passengers) when a drunken rowdy passenger forced his plane to crash.

Thanks again  for the quick and amazing response James, Hope you like the mix.
we shot the breeze
and cracked some cans
we raised our glasses high
and toasted you my man..........................
gone
but not forgotten

we shared some laughs
and memories
talked for hours about you
and all the things you said..............
gone
but not forgotten

you left your mark
on all of us
you touched so many
so many with your love.......................
gone
but not forgotten

we shed some tears
we shed some more
thinking 'bout you makes me smile
i'm smiling through my tears
gone
but not forgotten

I like the additions - percussion and acoustic lead, but I have to say the vocal mix on the first version sounded more intimate and personal. I find there's quite a bit too much reverb on this mix. Either way though, a fantastic song.

Thanks for the suggestion.
I had copied OHR's vox and offset the time a hair on one to give a slight delay, hoping for fullness.
Here's the dry version.

Love it. Absolutely love that dry vox mix.

...and the double vocal line at the end is a sweet touch of class.

Oldrottenhead

only heard the dry mix, but the doubled up vox at the end got the hairs up on the back of my neck, great mix glenn.

Sad story Glenn, I'm sorry for your loss!!

This is a beatiful piece of music and James' vocals are very fitting. The first mix gave me a Lennon feel (with the delay), wich is no bad thing :), but I think I prefer the dry vox as well.

Great song !
