So i emailed Ken (Hardlock) and asked if he fancied another collaboration. "Sure" he replied "Send over what you have" Well a few of you may have noticed that i have been quiet lately as i was working on a couple of songs remastering and now reworking some old favourites as well as writing the odd new one. Its been a tremendous comeback after all those years but i digress......

Anyway i was real busy so i sent him over an mp3 of an old song that i was wanting to rework. "Have a listen to this Ken" I said "Use this only asa guide as to how the song flows but as always its a blank canvas do what you feel and let me know what parts you would like to cover, i'm fine with Guitars, Vocals, Bass and Drums but im a very poor pianist and i quite like the ideas of strings so let me know and we can bioth make a start". Next day i recieve not only an email but a full blown production!!!!!!!! I was gobsmacked. it was a little rough with the odd timing issue but was 80% there. I told him what i thought and answered his questions 1st thing in the morning on my way to work and that evening all issues had been resolved and i had a backing track for my vocals. That evening i did the vocals a couple of times and Ken spliced inthe ones he preffred and by the next morningwe had a rough mix. Together we mixed it but it didnt need that much. As some of you know i am learning how to mix and very gratiously Ken gave me full control over the final mix and as i said before it really didnt need much as it was 90% there.

Apart from the vocals all credit must go to Ken (Hardlock) he has done a fantastic job.

Thank you Ken

This is excellent. Gives me a Supertramp kind of vibe. Really catchy and classy songwriting. That guitar solo - damn! Amazing. I like everything about it.

Great collab guys this just flows right along and the organ anchors it all down

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

What a great song and production.  The vocals and guitar are stonking, and I really love the bluesy hammond lines.  Great collab.

Very nice work guys! Love the keys intro and the way it builds into a real rocker. It's really punchy and the guitars all sound great (very nice solo in there as well!). For something that came together in a somewhat unintended way, it sounds really good and very powerful.

Thanks everyone for the good words! This song hit me as special on my first listen.

For me it's one that never gets old. I'm still trying to get that perfect lead since the one posted was not up to par with the quality of the song I feel. Hopefully I can do it full justice as this song is a keeper for sure!

Special thanks to Dan for offering the chance to work on it and for his help in getting me through the tough spots!

Cheers!
