i think i made every mistake i probably could recording this. 1st mistake was picking such an iconic song. peter hammill finishes most of his gigs on this one (well all the ones ive been to  ;D). 2nd was my usual error of not using a click track, and third was recording two vocals at different times and not listening to one as i recorded the other. the rest of the mistakes just followed on from that, i'm sure you can spot them anyway for what it's worth here it is.
I have a vision of you, locked inside my head;
it creeps upon my mind, and warms me in my bed...
A vision shimmering, shifting
moving in false firelight;
a vision of a vision,
protecting me from fear at night,
as the seasons roll on, and my love
stays strong.

I don't know where you end, and
where it is that I begin.
You simply open my mind, and the memories flood on in.
I remember waking up, with you arms around me;
I remember losing myself
and finding that you'd found me,
as the seasons roll on, and my love stays strong.

Be my child, be my lover, swallow
me up in your fire-glow.
Take my tongue, take my torment, take
my hand and don't let go.
Let me live in your life,
for you make it all seem to matter;
Let me die in your arms,
so the vision may never shatter...
The seasons roll on;
And my love stays strong.
The seasons roll on;.........
And my love....... Stays...... strong.......

Not having been to a live performance in more years than I care to remember - I have to use my imagination and learn from others experiences.  So I have nothing to compare this with except what you've done before.  Simply thought it was brillig.  It ought to be an ORH show closer.  Those mistakes you speak of - I think are mostly in your head.  Some of my best bits have come from my mistakes (I am speaking from a musical perspective).

Like it - Like it a lot.

Well, not using the click track makes it sound less rigid, more at ease.  The two different unsynched vocals give almost a nice, weird variable delay effect.  To me the "mistakes" actually work.  Not familiar with the artist/song, but it is very peaceful.

Sounds great to me Jim and I am a Hammill fan. I actually like the synth backing, I find the keys on his version a bit busy and yours lets the vox shine through.

Cheers,

Sounds really good. I don't know the song or artist but this is one of your best vox. The two vocal takes work well together...a little serendipity always adds to the festivities. Your Juno sound wash suits this arrangement nicely.

I'll listen to the original in the morning .... no need to now after this bliss

I like this a lot. Very warm and intimate. The little right-panned echo on the vox really works well. Blissful and beautiful. Killer track.
