The melody is "Cielito Lindo", a popular Ranchera song from Mexico, written in 1882 by Quirino Mendoza y Cortés (c. 1859–1957).

It was also used for an English language song called "You, Me, and Us" which was a hit in the U.K. for Alma Cogan in 1957.

Brilliant stuff, huge sound and fabulous vocals. Beautiful guitar work and it's all so well recorded and put together. Great fun as well! I do remember the original - was played a lot on the radio in the 60s when I was growing up.
