Hi all, it started off as a regular blues tune and like Topsy it grew into I don't know what but here it is, hope you like......Willie

Words

Well ok, just once more round the floor,
Then I don't think I can manage any more
'cos I've been hit
By a landslide of love

Can't stand up straight
Can't keep my feet
I'm washed away, can hardly breathe
Cos I've been hit
By a lanslide of Love

Chorus
I've been blown away
I've been swept away
I'm clutching straws in a tidal wave
And I spend my days
In the thickest haze
Must be the landslide of love

I'm a drowning man
I'm going under
The lightening flashed
And I'm deafened by thunder
"cos I've been hit
By a landslide of love

Chorus

Great late night listen Willie, love the use of the dual track vocals, gives it a unique quality. Some real quality guitar touches in there as well.

:o :o  This is really unique!!  The genre?  I would tend to think it is more a little towards a mellow jazz feeling.  You have some awesome progressions going on!!  Your guitar licks are just splendid and your lyrics and vox are very nice!!  I personally would have liked to have your vox a tad higher in the mix,  but man this is so..... good!!  You have capture a unique style not many can do!!  Rock on Willie!

Folk jablues. That's what I'm calling it. Nice little slice of heaven here. I can sink my teeth into it.

Ahhhhhhhhh....Just the thing to go with my Capt Morgan Spice and Dr Pepper. While I close my eyes and daydream of the good old days.  This is a winner Mr Wendon.  Don't think I will ever get tired of listening to this Gem.  I-Pod material for sure.....Ted

Oh well ........

I really like the lyrics here - the landslide of love imagery is great and works really, really well. A nice innovative twist that really suits the laid back jazz-blues feel here. Great guitar playing as well, lovely moody licks that just ooze feeling.

Perhaps the vox could have been a bit higher? The lyrics are so good I just would've like to be able to pick them out a bit more, but it doesn't detract from the great feel you have here.

Cheers,

Nigel

Hi all and thank you for all your kind comments. I'd actually dived head first into a halfway decent bottle of red wine so I didn't really hear what I done until today. Man there's some shockers in there, anyway thank you and Happy New Year to you all...........Willie
