Hi there 4got10, welcome from the east coast of Canada.  I lived in Edmonton, Sherwood Park actually, for a number of years in the 80's.  I don't miss the bone-chilling winters at all.  Jump in and have fun.  We are all novices in our own way.  Just keep on making music, thats the main thing.
