Stupid Love Songs (needs new bed, instruments, vocals)

The bones of this lyric were set out last year during 50/90, but I've just done an overhaul. Would be fun to hear it as a punkish rocker. Needs a new bedtrack (this one – a guitar backing track - was simply to give me a tempo context for a basic vocal guide), plus guitar, bass, drums, male vocals, etc.

Bear in mind I'm not a singer  ;); there'd need to be more variation in the change-ups between sections. And the melody, such as it is, is open for improvisation or complete change. And space as well for an instrumental break. I sang the sections closely one after the other, as the track wasn't very long.

Anyone feel compelled to make a silk purse out of this sow's ear?  ;)
If you do, please drop me a PM first to let me know. Then we can take things from there.  ;)

Stupid Love Songs

Chorus
Stupid love songs
On the radio
Stupid love songs
Everywhere you go
Every damn spring
It's the same old thing
Then comin' at you all year through
Stupid love songs that stick like glue

(v1)
Some woman wailin'
'Cause her whole world's failin'
The man she loves
Just gave her the shove

(v2)
Some guy whingein'
How he's taken to bingein'
Drownin' his pain
At the bar again

Chorus
Stupid love songs
On the radio
Stupid love songs
Everywhere you go
Every damn spring
It's the same old thing
Then comin' at you all year through
Stupid love songs that stick like glue

Bridge
Whinin', pinin', solitary dinin'
Tears in the rain, the lonely bed
Love songs aren't any fun for me
Still...it needs to be said...
I wish somebody would sing one for me

(v3)
Two people dreamin'
While everything's seemin'
To work out fine
For hearts on the line

Chorus
Stupid love songs
On the radio
Stupid love songs
Everywhere you go
Every damn spring
It's the same old thing
Then comin' at you all year through
Stupid love songs that stick like glue

Stupid love songs

Stupid love songs

Stupid love songs

Still I wish somebody would sing
A love song for me
