I seriously have reservations posting this , but i have come to the conclusion that this will be my reference track to make my recordings better , so thats why i'm posting it
I;ve decided that this is such a challenging song vocally and acousticly for me to do i will keep recording it in as many different ways untill i am completely happy
PS , the acoustic has too much treble , and i just cant get it how i want

This is just stunning Rob !! Never heard the original, but this is just beautiful. The guitars sound a bit too compressed, but apart from that great.

What setup and effects did you use for this recording? I find the BR800 has far too much compression for my taste on most of the mic effects !

im afraid i cant bear coldplay , well by that i mean i can't bear watching their singer. as a result i am not overly familiar with their ouvre but that is because i actively avoid them.

okay got that off my chest. this is absolutely awesome rob love it.

Yeah i'm not much of a Coldplay fan at all especially after the Joe Satriani incident.

Okay and his frog stage jumping in his parachute pants!..LOL

Nevertheless, I won't say they aren't talented and i DO know this song but have to say...

Rob! Your vox are way better than the original by far!! Great Performance!!

I dont really listen to much Coldplay , i love this song and Yellow , but thanks for listening ,and the comments guys.
Geir ,  i mess about trying to find that perfect setup for my guitar , but i just can't find it , my washburn is very treble sounding before i even start recording , and that only seems to get worse as i go on , i think i used my Rode NT-1a for the guitar , and my vintage Shure PE515 for the vox , i had the BR on 4-imput rock band , and ive just realized that you can change the input effects , what a prat i am, i did the recording as it came on the default setting

Pretty good stuff, I shudder to think how good you will sound when you get it all sorted out.  When I record acoustic guitar I usually record dry and play with EQ, compression, reverb afterwards, tweak away.  Easy to do on the 800.  You vocal sounds really good, you got that part all figured out.  I thing you just need to tweak the EQ and take down some high frequency that is causing the ringing.  I kind of like it punchy like this compression wise.
