Hey - That's a great idea guys.

• The "Theme Fest" will let people stretch their imagination for new material. We've got great song writers on here, and it will be awesome to see what is produced as a result.
• The "Artist Fest" will let people pay tribute to a popular(?) musician. I know I have learned a TON by dissecting songs and trying to reproduce them. I know it isn't everybody's cup of tea, but it is a very good exercise.

I like it. I think it helps the site be more inclusive of all styles and skill levels.

That's a great solution. Although I would like to offer a suggestion.
Have each festival last two months but start on opposite months. So January-February would be fest one, Fest two would be February-March, fest three would be March-April etc etc.
That way you'd have three festivals to choose from in any two month period. But still have two solid months for any one festival.

Of course, I doubt it makes much difference. Just brain storming. Don't mind me.
