I love how the bass drives the verses, yet it's pretty minimalist bass.

On my second listen now. Won't be my last.

Really enjoyed the listen, well performed and great arrangement.  Fine mix of all that was going on.  When the song first kicks off I get a feel of Tom Petty phrasing in the vocals.....love it!
"Play because you love it. Don't worry about if it will ever make any money, just understand that playing is an end in itself, and you play music, it will make your life better. And, don't worry about being a star, don't worry about making money, worry about nothing, just sit down with your guitar and let it speak to you and that will make your life better. It will bring beauty into your life. It's a great thing to do."     ---- David Crosby

Satchwood

Way cool song with way cool additions!!   Luv the driving bass as well, vocals, and backing vox, cool layered acoustic over the electric guitar!

FuzzFace

I just heard this with the updates.

This is another masterpiece!

I love all the layers and the little touches such as the harmonics from 1:50 to 2:14.

This is a wonderfully inspired arrangement.

Was that an appalachian dulcimer, or a hammered dulcimer?

cuthbert

That's an Appalachian dulcimer - it's making those chimey notes you hear.

Henwrench added some lap steel to the later verses, and he hit those harmonics from it. I think the two instruments turned out a pretty tasty combo...and this is an interesting project with great storyline and lyrics from you, FuzzFace!
