Strange one for me!  I was trying out some ideas for a"pop"/"country"  type song.  This is as far as I got.  Not perfect I know, but I was trying to push my borders and do something closer to the mainstream.  However I am now stuck.  I can't seem to put words that I like together in this style.  Anyway have a listen and let me know what you think

Cheers!
Guild Starfire 5, Fender Telecaster, Fender Stratocaster, K Yairi and Walden and a 12 Stagg string acoustic guitar and other music making boxes - including mandolin, bouzouki and 5 string banjo, uke and acoustic bass - a few M-Audio keyboards and a flute - all played and treated with equal love and attention - zoom ut 2 pedal and Logic Pro X

I'm already humming something with a Lou Reed style vocal intonation, maybe that might work.

At any rate I like how this flows along. Very cool!

You caught a real nice Canadian Alt.Country vibe here  ;).  Harmonized low key, melloow vocals would sound good.  Cowboy Junkies vocals.  Sing about drinking a bottle of wiskey and going out for a long walk on the dark empty streets, your girl on your mind, feeling sorry for what you did/said, it starts to rain and you can see your reflection in the dark shiny streets.  Regret swirls around like a flock of agitated crows on a prarie field.  The road goes on and on.  The sun coming up as you come to your front door, time to face up to the hurt.

Alternate Tunings: CAUTION: your fingers have to be in different places

BB is right, bit of a Cowboy Junkies on this one - maybe a touch more upbeat optimism in this track though.  Very nice!

Will be interesting to hear where this song is heading on. I get the slightly drunken Lou Reed vibe from this. It's a bit rough in the edges yet still musically interesting and free flowing in a way. The ambience of this song makes me think of late night, or early morning (after staying up the whole night). The melodies are cool.
