OK this is just plain embarrasing...

There's a bit of freeware called Audacity. You can import it and re-export at a lower bit rate. Try 128Kb/s

You may need the 'Lame' encoder too. It's also free.

You're getting closer. You managed to attach a file to your message. Unfortunately, it's the wrong file. What you posted is an Audacity project file. What you need to post instead is an MP3. To create an MP3 from Audacity, select "Export" from the "File" menu.

This message might help:

https://songcrafters.org/community/index.php?topic=3764.msg40346#msg40346

It's for Audacity version 1.3x.  If you're using version 1.2x, it might be slightly different. I think there's an "Export As MP3" option on the "File" menu in 1.2x.

For the bitrate, I'd recommend trying 192kbps first. Then check the size of the resulting MP3 file. If it's bigger than 6MB, try it again at 160kbps. If it's still too big, try 128kbps. Most 3 or 4 minute songs should be under 6MB at 192kbps so you might as well use the highest bitrate you can to get the best sound.

Also, it's best if you upload your attachment to your original message rather than creating a new one. To do that, click the "Modify" link which you'll find at the top-right of your message. Then click "Additional Options", etc. just as you would if you were attaching a file to a new message.

Keep trying. You'll get it.  :)

Thank you for your suggestions.
I Click on "export as MP3" in Audacity and Then on "Lame Library" but the library won't open.

OK, what's happening is that you need to download lame for audacity (if you have not done it)

I'm assuming you're running windows, so here is the direct link for download

http://lame.buanzo.com.ar/Lame_v3.98.2_for_Audacity_on_Windows.exe

When you get to that Lame prompt, you need to browse to:

C:\Program Files\Lame for Audacity

Click on the file you see, and bam, you should be exporting.

I am pretty sure that audacity defaults to 192kbs for mp3 export.

There you go. I knew you'd get it eventually.

I cleaned up your message for you and inserted the Song Info box.

What a nice version of a great old classic - I love the old Creedence stuff and I like what you've done with this - nice one.
