Another classic I was reluctant to touch, but .... I couldn't resist.   One of my all time favourite Beatles songs.

So incredibly deep and beautiful Geir.  You have sung this in your way, your voice, and yet honoured with deep love the original.  That is some sound from the 12-string, almost keys sounding.  I am stunned.  I will listen to this for a very long time.

Seriously excellent cover, Geir!  :) Once more, the bar has been raised.  Great vox, and I love how you got your 12 string to do double duty as a harpsichord on this.

I love this BeatlesFest!

Very, very nice.  I love the way you play the guitar riffs.  Very skillful.   Deep, mellow voice works well.

Lovely job Geir and a superlative vocal performance. You really recorded the vox well, could you share how you do this because your vox always sound crystal clear on the MBR and this is one of your best.

This bought back memories because I used to play this in the first band I was in at school. Although the statuesque Francesca Ryan used to do the vocals, a rather different take to Geir's.....

Cheers,

Thanks dear friends!
Re the vocal recording: when singing in 'mellow' voice I hold the mbr mic really close. I hold the mbr in the palm of my right hand, mic facing up. Pointing my thumb to my face I touch my cheek just below the right side of my mouth. That gives a distance of about 2 inches to the mic. And the mic is not in front of the mouth so I avoid breathing noises. I may have to turn down input sens 2-4dB. I use the "OnlyLMT" effect or no effect at all. Then I use 10-20% reverb 3.2 seconds. And finally I usually use the Live or DanceComp master effects.
Cheers

Awesome Geir. You have a natural warmth with your vox, and it really shines here. I'm dying to know how you pulled off the harpsichord sound.
