AlchemyMN

Hello all,

I have been lurked about and made a few posts here over the past month, so a formal introduction is probably overdue.

By day I am an engineer at a Fortune 100 company, but I spend a good part of the rest of my time doing music... as a guitar/bass teacher, producer, writer, arranger, peformer, repairshop, instrument and pedalboard (Stompbox-tm) builder, and Boss/Roland dealer.

I also play routinely with the Lisa Weyerhaeuser band and Andrew Brown.

I have an attic studio area and a small shop in my basement.  I work with amatuers and pros, but have a tendency to teach and do much of my recording for people just getting started.  Often they move on to 'big studios' to record their final projects.

I have been using a Roland VS890-studio for awhile, I also use Reason and Cakewalk.  I have way too many guitars and amps, along with a mandolin, bouzouki, and lap steel.  I just got a 4 channel USB preamp and Protools rig and have just started on that learning curve.

That being said, I am hooked on the Micro-BR for creating jam tracks, songwriting, collaboration, etc.  I take it with me everywhere in a small fanny pack loaded with the BR, PSA, cables, batteries, spare SD cards, and a Sony stereo mic.  I have an e-mail based forum of user clients that all help each other out with tech issues and collaborations - these days i am sending them to this forum.

It's a pleasure to hang out here.

Regards,
Michael.

Lap steel, eh? I've logged that one for a future collaboration! Such a lovely sound...
