With Black Mary's permission, I did a cover of this. Wanted to make sure I made it different than the original, which also means doing something a little bit different for me.

His original can be found here

Hope you like it. ;)

This has a cool fresh sound to it....I really enjoy this.
Your vox is very good as well.
I'll bet BM is proud of this cover...

Black Mary

WOW !! I LOVE IT. ;D  Firstly, I'm so flattered that you wanted to cover it in the first place.Thank you my friend. Secondly, your version is so sincere & completely changed the mood of the song. Love what you've done to the melody. Your singing is fantastic as ever.Love your vibrato. To me, it now feels more like a contemporary Willie Nelson. Hope that's taken as a compliment because it's meant as a huge one. Great tone you have on the guitars. So crisp & the song is played much tighter than my version and the whole thing works perfectly. And considering what you had to work with as an original, you've created a small miracle here. Can't praise you enough Saijinn. Seriously awesome. Gonna play this a few dozen times now ;D

Wow what a flippin great tribute !!   I really dug BM's song with that Alice Cooper attitude,.,.,... but you really, like, re-did it, Sai-Style, very flippin cool man!

Luv the vox and the cool acoustic solo ~ pure class dude...digging that laid-back rhythm and percussion....must listen again to both version :~)

Definitely should go on the Tribute Fest as well .!.

Well as always with your tunes i have to say wicked job Sai.

I just listened to the original and now yours. They`re  both different and that is the whole point, is to put it in your own style which you always do.

What an awesome cover - I love it.  Well done to Black Mary for the song, and Saijinn for this inspired version.  The vocals give a whole new meaning to the lyrics - Black Mary's "loser on the the way down" is standing a better chance of picking up with this version!

And once again I'm gobsmacked at the speed with which people on this site can put out quality work, BM's original only went up a few days ago - great effort...

Wow - from the liquor cabinet to the lounge.

Great version of a wicked tune Sai!

This tune has a definite hypnotic feel to it, and I love how you applied your vocal style (great as always) to it.
It ain't pretty being easy.
