This is the goods boys.  This one really reminds me of Captain Beyond!!!!!!!! You have the sound here perfect, heavy prog-rock.  I love it.  You have recorded this to perfection.  Really, really good.  Your best yet? maybe.  I can't get this sound in my songs, but if I could get this heavy and full I would, I can't seem to manage it.  Fantastic bass solo, hell man its all good.  Thanks for posting this slice of prog perfection.

Wow, that's prog alright! Incredibly impressive all round - great playing, great recording and and epic track. Love the structure and the change at around 2.38 with the bass solo, which is very well done. That section sounds a bit Gentle Giant-ish to me, while the rest is real heavy prog. The guitar solo is very nice as well - melodic and heavy but not too over the top, it fits well with the rest of the track.

Nick, I think the bass recorded well, I'm listening on my reasonable PC speakers and it comes through without booming or getting muddy. Booker T at the end? Sounds more like Keith Emerson to me, no bad thing for this style of music.

The track is very well mixed overall. You guys need to get your capes and samurai swords out and go on tour!

Cheers,

Nigel

Damn guys - this sounds grrrrrr8!
This has got more layers than Taco Bell!!

Definitely has that 80's metal vibe to me. I get that Queensryche feel from the vocals too.

Great arrangement and musicianship here boys.
WOW - Really fantastic!

It ain't pretty being easy.

WOW!  It's been said before here.  BIG!!  Everything is BIG about this piece and it sounds like it took much careful planning to put this together.  The bass solo is a unique concept and is well done.  Vocals are BRILLIANT!!  Honestly, I'm in awe!

Now tell me-Is this a MicroBR project?  :o  Very clean!

Hi John.  This wasn't done on an MBR.  This was put together using three different recorders.  I have a BR1600, Nick (nightcaller) has a BR900 (I think - we've only seen each other once in the last 20+ years) and Mark has a big Roland VS2400.

It still takes a lot of planning and sub-mixing though.
