Thanks.

I was trying to figure out how to transition from "Pet Shop Boys throwback" to DOOM METAL.

The little bass lick seemed to do the trick.

The very short guitar "click!" of distortion right before the explosion is the sound of the Release Mechanism in the bomber's memory.  (The "bomber" being the airplane.  I'm not presuming to speak for the pilot).

What a strong performance FuzzFace! Fine tune and arrangement!! Really cool guitar sound in the end!

I am a big fan of songs that completely transform part way through, and really do like one a lot, its a very clever composition.

Those drums sound cool on the last part, are they BR drums?

Congrats on a really interesting approach to a song.

I've been to a handful of aircraft museums (including the Smithsonian Air and Space museum, where I saw and entered the fuselage of the Enola Gay before it was removed). Yet, there's always been an undefined feeling I've felt at these museums, and you've helped me to identify it.

No, I have a cheesy apartment-size Yamaha electronic drumkit.
Just go to the Yamaha website and type in "Cheesy" and you should find it.  Ha ha.

This is such a good comment.  Thanks for mentioning it.

I have never been to an aircraft museum nor was I interested until I was recording this song, and it occurred to me it's something I should do.

I would like to develop the lyrics more, to somehow liken the airplane with the idea of Frankenstein's monster.

Although that could come off as an understatement.

Earlier I stopped short of suggesting that you fill out the lyrics a bit more.  Instead I appreciated what you'd done for it's minimalism. But I can see why you would want to say more.  Aviation is such a fantastic human achievement.  Creating flight for the flightless is quite near creating life for the lifeless, and we regard it as a commonplace fact of life. But we have surpassed Icarus, Prometheus, and Mars:  We have taken flight, stolen the heat of the sun, and hurled it at our enemies from our flying machines. Yet our warriors name the aircraft affectionately after their mothers, wives, and girlfriends. I'm not sure if I ever grasped that irony before.

Sorry for the rambling on there.  Lyrical fodder, perhaps.

I'm glad to have stimulated a discussion.

Your song is exactly along the same lines.  And that book in your link looks really interesting as well.

I'm going to think about how to develop the idea a little more without taking away from the minimalistic quality.
