I came across this link earlier on a forum today, thought it was interesting and I am definitely going to give it a try.

It's very interesting. I might give it a try too. The only drawback I can think of is the cable coming out of the guitar hole as I don't really want to drill the guitar body.

It seems like you could use just about anything that has a buzzer in it. Like broken toys and things like that.  :D

I wonder whats the difference in sound quality if the buzzer is mounted outside rather than inside the body.
