Plugging into an amp

The BR output is stereo, yet guitar amps inputs are mono. So I suppose getting some sort of stereo to mono adapter is in order.
But, is it safe for the amp?
I mean, the signal out of a guitar is so low you don't hear anything if you plug headphones directly to the guitar. But the signal out of the BR can be high enough to make headphones drivers rattle.
So how can the same output be "line out" and headphones?

I also have a practise amp which has "aux" inputs which are stereo. Also has "slave" inputs which bypass the preamp and use the BR directly to the power amp. The result used like this is not good.

But I don't dare the direct to input without asking first.
So what do you guys think? is it safe?

It shouldn't hurt it

And do not make or break connections with the MBR powered up as this may damage the memory card, I have done this twice!!!!!

Really?-I have never experienced this (yet)
That's a valuable piece of info-Thanks
you're referring to the line out to amp connection-right?

Yep ... connecting guitars, headphones etc does not seem to bother it, but the amp did it twice. Would be wary with USB too. It says in the manual not to make connections when the MBR is on, but I had done it several times by accident with no problem so ignored it, then screwed the card.... :-[ Bought a new one ... and did it again! :'( Have reformatted the cards on the PC now ... MBR would not do it, but still lost all the stff that was on them.
