I woke this morning in a wierd mood. Was planning on not touching the guitar today. I started goofing off with it . Hooked up to the BR and turned the setting to piezo and turned the reverb up. I came up with some chords Bm D A G E. So I played this dry and recorded it dry, pulled the bass out and put down a line there. Tinkered around for a while and started layering (still not writing stuff down, really need to start).  I was amazed how what I had heard dry turned into somethign totaly different than what I started with. I consider this only my second original effort. After everythign is said and done I have 5 guitar layers, the bass line, and MBR's drums. I honestly wish I knew how or could write lyrics. Would be interesting what someone could come up with for VOX.

I haven't named it, but I hope you all enjoy it.

lest you bring the dark side out in me, ive put a vocal over it, is now called on my own, one part makes the hairs stick up on back of my neck.
heres lyrics

on my own,

i never thought id see the day
that you would go away
and leave me on my own
on my own
on my own

maybe theres another way
in a different time
in a different place
something that we never saw
that we never learned
we where never taught
how has it come to this
i never asked for this
is this whats left for me
on my own
on my own

remember all the dreams we had
nothing seemed to be too hard
two hearts that beat as one
we saw the future as our own
i never thought id see the day
you would go away
and leave me on my own(the bit the hairs on my neck stick up)

on my own etc,,,,,,,,,,,,

Thanks GR, I really wasn't sure what genre of music it falls in.

Mr. Higgins, man I'm speechless! Sorry for the darkness, I hope this doesn't take you to places(dark) you don't want to go. But you really captured a mood there. It was kinda how I felt when I woke up.

Yes absolutely, put this up on nevermet.

ive redone the vox, ist version has tons of effects, i sang into onboard mic and changed effect to guitar setting st, clean, and recorded to stereo tracks, then sett effects to mic fornylon and doubletracked vox again stereo mix.

this version is doubletracked mono vox on 2 seperate tracks but each panned zero with fornylon onboard mic effect. if folk think this version is better i'll post this at nevermet site,

Another real nice colab guys, second vocal take was far better to my ears. Will have to try the fornylon on vocals, I tend to use vocal delay 1 and shove loads of compression on it.
