Couple of Questions

1) I have heard a couple of songs on here that others have recorded that have purley the cymbals counting in before the main drum beat starts. Is there a particular pattern that can be used for this.

2) I want to have a single crashing cymbal as my song enters the chorus. Again is there a way this can be achieved?

Thank you

unless you can find a preset that starts that way, you'll have to import it unforntunately.
The singlemost drawback to the built in drums, imo, is the fact that you can't program your own .
But there a certainly ways to work around this shortcoming.
Many here create drum tracks outside the MBR, then import them.
The MBR is powerful little tool for 200 bucks none the less.

Yes, and there are few patterns that start with a cymbal. Search the ones ending with IN. These are the ones that most probably have a crashing cymbal at start.

Check out some of the links on this page:

https://songcrafters.org/64guitars/BR/Samples.html

Then download your favourite cymbal sample from one of those sites and import it to a v-track at the precise point in the song where you want the cymbal. If you need it in multiple locations throughout the song, just copy it to the desired locations.

I use Rhythm pattern 265, (the first half), as a count in. When I construct a Rhythm Arrangement, I'll have Step 1 , Measure 1 Pattern 265, then step 2, Measure 2, Pattern something else. The MICRO BR will "cut-off" the second half of Pattern 265, (a two measure pattern).
If you wanted just the quarter note high hat to continue, you'd have to designate Pattern 265 to re-start every measure.

I'm still trying to figure out how to use just the latter portion of patterns without having to use the first portion. All of the above applies to procedures you'd use in RHYTHM ARRANGING. As the others have said, you can always find the sound you want and record/cut/paste it into the spot(s) you want that sound to appear.

Hope that helps.

i have recorded a 4 trak recording in-cluding vox but when i upload it onto my computer i can hear evrything but the vox am i dooing something silly pleas help me

What exactly are you doing?
Do you mean you're exporting the tracks to a DAW or are you trying to master? creating a mp3?
