Fine song and performance here Nelson. Good arrangement overall and the little melodic leads are sweet. Your vocal tone is excellent...can't buy or fake that. I'd like to hear your voice without the effects on it...sounds kinda like compression and maybe a bit of chorus? You play well, sing well, and wrote a good song here...that's a damn good package. As for genre, i'd definitely call it folk or americana. What do you record with?

Hey Thanks Pinedog . I don't think I used any effects, if memory serve me, I sang it on 2 separate tracks. For a fuller sound.
Everything recorded with the BOSS BR-600.

Well Nelson, everybody here knows i have serious hearing issues so it's my mistake. On listening again, i guess maybe it's just ambience i hear.(?) What are you using for a mic? I like that you mixed the vox high enough to make the lyrics easily audible. Modern mixes seem to shy away from that, why i will never know.
