Does anyone know how accurate the Micro BR's inbuilt tuner is?

I don't know the exact specification but I could make an educated guess. The tuning range of the display is +/- 50 cents (a cent is 1/100th of a semitone). So there are 10 cents between each ">" or "<" in the display. Most modern electronic tuners are accurate to 1 cent and, internally, the Micro BR is probably the same. However, I doubt that most people can discern a difference of 1 cent in the BR's tiny display. So, realistically, I'd say the accuracy is more like 2 or 3 cents.

If you want real accuracy, I'd recommend a strobe tuner from Peterson Strobe Tuners. They're accurate to 1/10th of a cent. I have the original version of their StroboStomp tuner and I highly recommend it or any of their strobe tuners (StroboFLIP, StroboRACK, StroboSoft, or iStroboSoft).

It always sounds fine to me, so that's all that counts, lol. I think it's better (slightly more accurate) than the two in-built tuners on my electro-acoustics at least.

I'm sure there's better tuners out there, but in my experience the mbr-tuner is good enough.,,,, ,... for 2 reasons.

The accuracy is really quite good. Comparing to my other tuners this is maybe the the best (.. no I don't have any high end tuners but have an old tuner (can't remember the brand right now) that's served me well for many years, on and off stage, and the mbr is as least as good)

For guitar you get to a point where accuracy is no longer the main issue. You have to compromise anyway to get it to sound in tune in the key you're playing. I tune the guitar different when playing in C than when playing in E. ( see this thread for more details : https://songcrafters.org/community/index.php?topic=4123.0 )

The MBR's tuner comes into its own for collaborations on this forum... at least we can all be sure we're in the same tuning, lol.

Except when Jim's tuned his guitar with it. Or not. Half a semitone. Mad.

Now, I have never thought of it that way. Ain't that a humdinger! LOL
On another note, it seems to be pretty dang close to other tuners I use.
