Enjoyed very much!! Nice one Dave, excellent cover. One of my favourites for a long time, but it's the first time I've understood all the words ;D

Dave.. enjoyed that... is this using the internal mic for vox?

A quick description of intruments/patches etc would be interesting.

Cheers

Thanks for all for the compliments.  This has been my most ambitious project to date - 15 total tracks.  I used virtual tracks for some of the less essential tracks (clap, backing vox, "mandolin part", etc.)

The "mandolin" part is actually an electric guitar direct in with a chorus and some heavy eq knocking out the bottom end.

The vox is an SM57 using mic effect 38 with some slight changes to the eq.

The bass is my electric direct in using the loose bass sim.  If you listen closely during the interlude and the outro you can hear the bass notes wander as they decay.  This song was the reason I bought my real bass.

The rhythm guitar is an acoustic guitar recorded direct and with the SM57 pointed at the sound hole and an electric guitar played at different position on the fretboard.

The synth is a Korg Poly 800 II (1983 vintage) using patch 11 which is the strings patch.

The percussion section is the basic BR room kit.

I also included backing vocals and a clap track - both recorded with the SM57.

For full disclosure, I did mix this on the computer using guitar tracks pro v.3, but all the instruments and effects (except eq and comp) were BR.  So is the Bass Sim (this is where I discovered its limitations).  I highly recommend this software package

I really love the combo of the BR and GTPro.  I don't have to worry about all the latency crap when recording, but I have more tools at my disposal when mixing.  I hope this doesn't make me a pariah here.     :)
