Date and time properties of BR recorded files?

Hi there,
first I want to thank the admins here for this forum! I think this is a great place to share info about the device.
And I already have my first question:
I use the BOSS Micro BR mainly for voice recordings. Before I bought it I esp. searched for devices with a MIC with a good reputation and the built in mic does a great job for me!
My problem is that all files I transfer to the PC do always have the same time/date in the properties (20th of october 2006, midnight). Is there any way to tell the micro BR the current date/time so it will change the file properties to the right time/date when it was recorded/created? You know, one SD card with 1GB can contain quite a lot of files. And every time I insert a new card I will get double file names...
Any ideas? Every digi cam has some menu to set date/time... I haven't found it inside the br.

Uhm, that's interesting, it appears to happen only for the native BR files, the exported MP3 files do have the correct date.

YOu can probably get a freeware utility to manually change the modifed date field.

Also when you copy the files to the PC the Creation date is based on the date\time you copied them to.

No. None of the BR series recorders have onboard clock/calendars. But this isn't unusual. I can't think of any recorders from any other manufacturers that have built-in clocks either.

I suggest you try my BR Explorer program. It will help you to organize your backups. It shows you the name of each song and allows you to edit it. You can also add notes to each song. Here you could enter the date that you created the song.
