The Reverend 48

Loved it truly Original!

The sound you are getting here is nothing short of awesome! I have a couple of humbuckers knocking round destined for my Strat, wonder if I can make this work ???

Nice tune too, as said truly original.

madrab

once again, thanks!
I used a -78 fender tele rythm pup for this and that was not just because I had one to use. I often think humbuckers can get either too harsh och too muddy for the sound I am after — too "dead". The tele-pup is weak, but very living.
(check out what I wrote above for the rest of the setup)
I love Neil Young electric sound, and that's one p-90 and one mini-humbucker, no PAF's there. Obviously, ther are alot of good PAF sounds as well, but they don't sound like THIS.

Blooby

Had to bump this one.  One of the most amazing guitar tones I've heard.

Freakin trippy dude...really enjoyable. You might like Califone's "Quicksand/Cradlesnakes" or "Roomsounds" if you've never heard them before.

This can be placed as a movietrack right away, it´s sinister, psychedelic ... but I like it.

I'm listening to Califone's When Leon Spinx Moved Into Town right now. It's really good. Thanks for the tip.
Thanks for the bump, blooby, I liked your Stormy Monday recording.
I haven't played much in a while — waiting for the muse I guess.

Gritter

I listened to this again but in the car this time and after dark. I am lovin' it...my new current MBR favorite.

Very cool sound here.

Well heck...I just downloaded this guy. Reminds me of some experimental 70's stuff that you might hear in a movie. Cool cool stuff madrab. This can really put you in a place.
