This was, as whenever I record, done fast. I was playing slide on my acoustic, using a telecaster pup and running it through a bit of Vibe and overdrive and tube-amp and alot of reverb. I started to get feedback and had some fun with a very simple melody. Recorded with a stereomic and then added one track of kaosilator in stereo. That was four tracks, so that was that.
Very sketchy. But as I listened to it after some time, I kind of liked it.

The tuning is standard D and I am using a bottleneck (scholtz I think – used to have a great neck from a bottle of port, but I broke it).

I have found the tone from a real bottleneck very different — thicker — than from a pipe of metal. Look for good bottles without seams, then comes the problem of cutting...

Yes its a telepup. If you are going to distort the signal I think a magnetic pup better than a mic. I mount the pup in the soundhole of the guitar without harming it.

To get really specific the setup is:
Seagul Folk, telecaster rythm pup, danelectro coolcat vibe, danelectro coolcat transparent overdrive, hughes kettner edition tube.

I can really recomend all the parts, but you should all check out the coolcat pedals, they are cheap, true bypass and really really good.

This is different... so different... and so cool. Atmospheric as f*ck. Ry Cooder meets Pink Floyd. I think it's completely wonderful. Had me totally hooked. Fantastic work!
