Quote from: Bluesberry on July 17, 2009, 05:57:54 AM...of course this reminds me of Roger Waters, in fact it could be the great bonus last track from "The Final Cut", it would make a really great end of album track.  It is so subtle.

I was thinking the same think. Great voice, great playing. It would be nice to hear more of your work when time permits.

I can understand why you want to start with a clean sheet but what this song shows me is a lot of potential in your singing and particularly your songwriting. I really like the lyrics to this one, they create great images but you're not quite sure what the meaning is. There's a nice ambiguity that lets you innterpret the song in your own way. I like the feel you have here as well in terms of the gentle strings and guitars.

So we won't hear a more polished version of this one but I definitely look forward to hearing more of your stuff soon.

Cheers,

Nigel

As I said - this site is full of hidden gems. Loved the feel of this, definitely reminded me of Roger Waters - and black & white 1940's war footage photo's - very evocative.

Oh, Bruno, how could you?? But Thank you.!!  ;)
I'm a fairly crappish musician, but I sometimes have a knack with lyrics,
and this is one of the songs that I'm hoping to re-record properly.

A fine song. I still think the vox needs to be brought forward.
Perhaps less reverb on the vox and more on the synth instead?
A bit of ducking on the synth during vox?
Love the strings
