Sometimes love disappears and you can claw it back.
Fortunately not biographical but I can imagine the angst.
Hope you like it.
The turning point for me
Was turning round to see

How you looked
Straight at me
Your smile had faded fast
I knew we wouldn't last
The writing was on the wall
No matter how hard we tried
We both new the love had died

You fade away
You drift away
You fall away
And I can't get to you
Your eyes The say
You've had enough of me

The girl in front of me
Is a mystery to me
I don't recognise
Who's standing there
I'm an echo from your past
And that memories fading fast

And I know
It's time to break away
I've tried my best
What more can I say

The deliberate pace and the majesty of the instrumentation, along with the soaring and emotional vocals, give this sad tale some real gravitas. It feel tailor-made for a movie montage where the hero is feeling dejected and stands there in the rain after he realizes his relationship has fallen apart.

Kenny you have been on a roll since the recovery period and I am liking all of them a trilogy of love songs
Well done brother

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

There's a dual meaning to "Old love" – it could mean aged (enduring) or former (dead).

This has a feeling of a classic song from the 60s updated by a band from the 80s – like Guns N' Roses covering Roy Orbison. Both of the guitar solos are fantastic. And they help tell the story. The first one feels inward - reflective, and the second one seems cathartic and resigned. Great songwriting.

I kept waiting for the "clawing it back" part of the song you mentioned at the top of the post. I wanted the happy ending. Because, in my experience, clawing never succeeds. Where do I go for that story? "Reu-fucking-nited" by Peaches & Herb? No thanks.

Yeah i'm a big fan of this. It starts innocently enough until it blooms into grandiotic depths.

Huge soundscapes and passionate vocals.

Another brilliant song Kenny. In the style of the old pop love songs from the 70's ,80's. Superb vocals mate, and great music and lyrics.
I have 2 profiles on this site, (NOW COMBINED INTO ONE PROFILE PAGE)
One is a musical partnership with Keith Allen, ( we record songs as "The Devil's Toupee").
The 2nd one is for my other musical projects and collaborations. (DarrenG)
Thanks for listening.
