I love what you do.
I'd recommend you.
You satisfy my need.
I'd even pay for it too.

I love where you are.
It's not very far.
And I can get there on foot
'Cause I don't want a car.

But I really don't know, I really don't know about your logo.

(Solo)

I love your name.
Nobody else has the same.
It rolls off the tongue.
I hope you registered the domain.

I love your place;
Love what you've done with the space.
Wasn't this that restaurant
With the bad bouillabaisse?

But I really don't know, I really don't know about your logo.

What are you trying to convey?
'Cause the thing on the sign outside your door says, "Get the hell away!"

(Long-ass solo)

(Repeat first verse)

But I really don't know, I really don't know about your logo.
I really don't know, I really don't know about your logo.

I don't write blues songs. The last one I wrote was "Dechromium Cob," when I was 15 years old.

I wrote this one 5 years ago, and the words came to me pretty quickly. It's been waiting for a guitarist willing to put some lead to go with my dumb lyrics. And the chance came today. My friend Andry Ramamonjisoa asked if he could come over and borrow my Strat, and lend me his Tele. I said, "Je te propose qu'on en profite pour enregistrer un peu quand tu viendras chercher la Strat. J'ai un morceau blues en G que j'avais commencé à enregistrer il y a longtemps."

Well, I guess he really wanted to borrow my Strat, so he said Oui. Damn, Andry is a pro – and a devotee of Robben Ford, if you can't tell. This was the second take.

(I suppose I could have put this up in the Member-made backers board. It never occurred to me to do that until right now.)

That's some fine guitar work over your backer (which is a cool song in itself) 8)

Those things we take for granted - when we're young and immature - will surely return to haunt us when we're old and insecure

Oh yeah. Great blues track with everything cooking. That guitar work is stellar by your friend even though I can't pronounce his name. Your vocal suits this genre perfectly, Ted and the whole arrangement is just fantastic. Love it.

Now you need a logo! Make it metal. Like in the 80s. Hair Metal.

BTW: Andry is playing through my (cheap) Joyo American Sound pedal plus some Micro BR reverb. That's all. A few of us here have that pedal. If it sounds like a classic Fender amp, then the pedal has succeeded.

Andry is a very common Malagasy name. It rhymes with "laundry." I rarely have to attempt pronouncing Ramamonjisoa, but a single "o" is usually pronounced like "oo" as in "spoon": Rama-moon-ji-sooa

I've been playing with Andry on and off for 10 years, but this is the first time we've recorded. I've wanted to collaborate, but I've always hesitated to ask because he's a pro, and I can't pay him. So if we collaborate more, my Micro BR and I need to have a solid value proposition.

Thanks! (I think.) Maybe I'll write another one in 45 years.

I like bluesy rock and you're doing it so well here, Ted! The guitarist does sound like a pro and so does that bass player (that's you Ted). Some cool gruffness in your vocal style here! I enjoyed the listen.
